We have been in business since April 6, 1940. 70+ Years and Counting!
What is your primary product or service?
We are a full service financial institution offering a full array and savings and lending products to our membership.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Our CEO has worked with NBCU for the last 14 years with over 30 years of financial services expertise. The NBCU leadership team has over 200+ years of combined financial services experience.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
NBCU is a member owned and operated organization. Our mission is to promote thrift and provide a full range of services to assist our members in meeting their financial needs. In achieving these goals, we seek to maintain the credit union’s long-term financial stability while continuing our credit union’s philosophy of “Member Helping Member.”
Our Business Values seek to support board, supervisory committee and all other employees to 1) do things right and 2) do the right thing. The business values of NBCU are as follows: Member Focus, Professionalism, Respect for Each Other, Teamwork and Quality Service. These are further defined as:
Member Focus-responding promptly to member needs, creating solutions that are responsive to member needs, referring members to other services within NBCU, exceeding member expectations, demonstrating extensive , in depth knowledge of member when making business decisions
Professionalism- holds oneself to the highest standards of performance, getting the job done right and on time, taking action to sharpen talents, skills and knowledge, demonstrating responsiveness to dealing with coworkers, direct reports, members, supervisors, vendors and all those who are involved with the NBCU operation, applying the skills and knowledge necessary to do a job at a high level of competence.
Respect- for one another, maintaining confidentiality and privacy in all interactions, listening to what others say even if there is disagreement, candid and honest in dealings, showing sensitivity to others’ needs, supporting colleagues’ needs to balance work with commitments outside the office.
Teamwork- applying values when making decisions, showing respect for others’ opinions, demonstrating trust in others to do the job, asking for help when appropriate from whomever is best able to provide it, encouraging teamwork among work groups and departments.

How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
NBCU has two locations at 1407 Erbs Mill Road in Blue Bell as well as 588 North Gulph Road in King of Prussia. We pride ourselves on our excellent electronic assessibility and have members in 13 states.

NBCU is owned by its membership.
