How long have you been in business?
MontcoIT staff has been working with computers for over 15 years. We have been independent consultants for 10 years and have worked with Small Businesses and consumers for over 5 years.
What is your primary product or service?
MontcoIT provides IT services for small and medium business with a focus on proactive maintenance and support.
MontcoIT also provides services to consumers and home users.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
As one of the owners of MontcoIT I began my career as a Certified Network Engineer working with the Nuclear group at PECO energy. While there I also became certified as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and eventually a Principal Systems Administrator for Domino/Lotus Notes.
I eventually took courses in Cisco routers and the Linux operating system before achieving the Microsoft Small Business Specialist certification.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our emphasis has always been on partnership and personal service. We understand the value, to you, of your computers and the data on them and we try to work with you to make sure that we maintain that value while improving or repairing your systems.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Because the majority of our work is done onsite, MontcoIT has 1 location.
What type of payments do you accept?
We currently accept cash, check, MasterCard and Visa. For our business clients billing arrangements can be made.
Which areas do you service?
We are centrally based in Collegeville and service the entire Delaware Valley area. We have clients throughout the region including, Wilmington, Allentown, Collegeville, Phoenixville, Norristown, Skippack, Philadelphia, West Chester, Malvern, Royersford, Limerick, Pottstown, Boyertown, Harleysville, King of Prussia, Plymouth Meeting, Douglasville, Morgantown, Allentown, Quakertown, Horsham, Audubon and many more.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Dave Sobczak is the very hands-on owner and he is assisted by several highly qualified technicians.
What are your hours of operation?
Our phone is answered 24x7 and we have a technician on-call at all times for true emergencies. Our normal business hours are 8 am - 6pm M-F and we do have some Saturday and evening appointments available.
