How long have you been in business?
Since 1984 in the heart of Doylestown Pa was my office.
What is your primary product or service?
I would like to serve the public. With surveillance needs,Investigate suspicious activities, Investigate frauds of all types. Private Investigations, Body Guards,Security guards for hire, installation of cameras, Etc..
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Al Strasser of Sylvan Pools asked me to come in as a part time security guard for the location in Doylestown. As a former Loss Prevention detective, I saw a lgreat deal of theft at the Doylestown location and asked Mr. Ray Calvitti and Mr. Al Strasser if they would be interested in hiring me at Taber Security Services for $500.00 per week. They said yes. This is how I began.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Knowledge. Police have the need to be told what to do. They have no ambition to seek what is unknown.
Other Detectives only look for the objective, Not much outside the box.
But I have the motivation to include,ambition, observation that only the people of Loss Prevention have and, I have the wisdom to know the difference between fraud and truth. But, Other then that? I care, about each case. It's not a money issue, But, I do care about each client and what their needs are.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I have one location at this time. I made the mistake of expanding years ago. Too much too fast only to find that people are afraid of loss. (It's a Jones vs. Jones thing). No one wants to express that Domestic fraud happens. So they would rather take it on themselves. Poor choice. No one wins in a case that is done incorrectly.

Mr. Thomas Taber is the owner. I'm also operations as I am a small business.
What are your hours of operation?
I work 24/7. There is no time frame for crime. Fraud. or cheating on your spouse. So, I work when the client is in need.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Thank you. ( I did a Free job one time) for a couple that had just had their son abducted. I know what those people do to those children, I know where they go and for what reasons. Again, it;s just knowledge. I too was abducted once. It wasn't pleasant. I was scared to death and of death. So no case is easy. But I did what I know best. Finding the child alive wasn't easy. But I think he was too young to allow it to do any harm to him in the future. The parents said alot of things. They even put it some where on the internet. But, Thank you is what I recall.

When picking up shoplifters . there's a certain verse that is used. Well perhaps it's a verse I used so many times.
"Hi, My name is Tom. Your under arrest."
