What is your primary product or service?
We furnish the interior of a home with window treatments, flooring, wallcovering, furniture, art and accessories. We remodel kitchens and bathrooms using our own licensed and insured contractors. We work within your budget.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My mother was always remodeling and decorating our large old home. My parents owned a factory and I digested business talk with every meal. So the combination of decorating and business rubbed off on me.
I attended Whittier College, Sawyer School of Business and Philadelphia College of Art. And have attended a myriad of decorating seminars over the years.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
First, I make a friend. I am very low key, listen carefully to my clients' preferences, offer suggestions, and do not push or insist.
I have a keen eye for harmony and balance and coordinated colors.
Today most of my clients are repeat or referral. I give discounts whenever possible and purchase quality merchandise at the right price for my client.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I have had two design studios over the years with many employees. Today I work alone from my home.
